ABOUT us

Rebecca and Sigrid met in 1992 at Women Only gym in Studio City where Rebecca worked the front desk and Sigrid was a personal trainer and the best step aerobics teacher on staff. We became fast friends over all there was to discuss and share about “the Biz”

Rebecca and Sigrid have almost identical careers as they both love the human body, a healthy lifestyle, helping people feel their best and being of service. Rebecca and Sigrid both taught at Black Dog yoga. Rebecca went on to co-own City Yoga. Sigrid went on to become partners at Black Dog yoga in the many changing of the hands. Rebecca sold City Yoga to Yoga works. In 2018 Rebecca opened Wellborn Lifestyles, which is still her business and later closed it in 2020 and you all know why. That is the nutshell version of us all to say, we have been in sync several times of the 3 decades of our friendship and careers. We once wrote a book and now we wrote a contract. Our backgrounds are potent, extensive and versatile.

Our coaching method has one goal in mind: to help people find regulation in their work, relationships, and life. Our extensive backgrounds combined with our personal experiences in life will help you focus, and refine the passion, purpose and peace you have access to every day.

The Contract I sign with myself is that I will wake up every day and be of service to myself, my family and my community. I do this by checking in with the needs I have first. I signed a contract to do work on myself every day as an act of gratitude. If I am truly grateful then my actions need to reflect that gratitude. I walk in gratitude, eat n gratitude and live my days with gratitude. The hardest part of my contract is when I get impatient or when I forget that other people have their own pace, style and path. I reflect on this contract throughout the day to make sure I am making choices daily to not break the contract of being of service. Sometimes I have to make a schedule for myself to help keep me contained enough to stay in service and not in a spin of saying yes to helping when being of service may mean saying no.

Rebecca

I put on my oxygen mask first!  My contract starts with a daily ritual of rising early and drinking a cleansing warm water with lemon. Not in any particular order I do some form of movement/exercise for 30-60 minutes, meditation (including mantra/affirmation,chanting, healing sound bowls, and breathwork), consulting an oracle and journaling for subconscious exploration- in short, I get my energy up and going so I can start my day in high vibration and with a clean slate for teaching classes and interacting with family and friends. These daily rituals are non-negotiable. In addition, my contract includes showing up fully prepared and ready to be of service.  In the classroom, to uplift and impart the ancient wisdom of yogic philosophy.  One on one, to encourage self-reflection and growth.  In my family, to provide a loving, nurturing, humor-filled environment and a healthy, tasty and home cooked meal for dinner.  My aim is to be fully present in the small moments of life (the big ones are easy!).   My purpose, my passion, my peace is to be a vessel of light and love so that I might be a source of positivity in the world.

Sigrid

The choices you make everyday is the contract you are making with yourself.

Our COACHING METHOD

  • Passion

It all starts by knowing and connecting to what you love from the little things to the big things.

  • Peace

Recognize peace when it’s right in front of you. There is more peace in your life that you may be seeing.

  • Purpose

We are talking about the reason, the purpose , the point of the things you do, say, choose and act upon.
